To make a long story short don’t use this company as they hire thugs that treat your belongings... with reckless abandon. I was yelled at by both men, threatened to have all kinds of charges added to my bill. Yeah that’s the mentality of folks they hire. Charge me to prove a point and take tip money out of their pockets. I was in fear for my stuff being left on the side of the road if I escalated it. I complained to David Franklin who assured me he would handle it and return my call. Never heard from him again. They SUCK!read more

I did not understand that the large amount of money I paid them did not include packing the van. I found Moves for less at the last minute. They were a God send. I was misled by the sales person, Todd, about charging by the box for any boxes they would move. ... So I decided to move most of those myself.A few days after the move I was contacted by another person at Moves for Less asking how they did. I explained about the boxes and he did not agree with Salesperson's pricing method for boxes and asked ME why the sales guy priced it that way. I told him I didn't know - it was HIS sales guy!! But it was too late to negotiate as the move was over.Their moving Team left their runner at my house, so I thought it was disposable. They repeatedly contacted me to bring it back to Indy. I had moved out of Indy and it wasn't my mistake to fix. They even got rude with me on the phone about it.One of them tracked a huge amount of mud on champagne color carpet on stairs which had been professionally cleaned two days prior. They put no plastic adhered covering on the stairs as promised.Then after paying them, the same guy held out the phone asking me to indicate my Google review stars and a few words. Talk about feeling the pressure for a 5-star review! So I initially left a 5 star review and put "Team is great".NOTE: Today, 8/24/25, I received a text from David Franklin, their manager, asking for more words on Google review as they're trying to get 1100 reviews! Now that my move is over and I had time to write about the experience, I took the opportunity to indicate how my move really went. A big THANK YOU to David for the reminder to do so.read more

Todd called me when he saw my for sale sign go up. He was courteous and willing to help, but not... pushy. She set up our move after walking through the house with us for 10 minutes.He quoted us a number - and the final price was within his range.The movers themselves were three young men - Dez, Jerril, and Quentay and they were outstanding. They showed up on time and got right to work. They moved with speed, diligence, and caution. They were so careful as to not damage furniture or walls and doors. I was very pleased with how much care they took with our move. Ours was a relatively small job, and it was done very quickly. I would highly recommend.read more

First time was great second time was horrible not professional I’ll take better chances doing it... myself. Wasted 500 because the movers didn’t do the job right called several times explaining plus sent pictures if you wanna waste your money they’re the people you want. They refuse to call me back after explaining it and known my bed didn’t get put up right. I hate I even used this company lesson learned. It’s not away you do business then leaving your customer hanging after they paid is ridiculous and very inconsiderate. Left me to almost hurt myself presenting the bed like they put it up to half ass job I’ll never use them again. Movers hid the legs to the bed in my closet as well I didn’t think I had to watch over grown people to do their jobs I lost 500 but you guys don’t get any good luck doing someone dirty like that I was nothing but patient and nice. Yall didn’t have to do me that way especially after known my bed is still on the floor after paying 500 and providing yall with everything then to hide my bed pieces is just low down. That’s bad business and never even contacted me back just blocked my number which is ok just never use these people if you do watch them to make sure you don’t end up like me loosing 500 and still the job wasn’t done right plus they refuse to refund partial or all my money they’re very bad with communication manager never called me back. I had to call from another number to get through because of them blocking my number to get through so be mindful and make sure your stuff is put up right. Awful experience!!!!read more

I wish I could leave a “0” rating. David is a combative, contentious and miserable soulless man.... Moves for less uses deceptive and dishonest quoting/pricing tactics. Communication was ambiguous and unprofessional and caused me great distress. There were inadequate packing materials and many of my items were not wrapped correctly. I believe every piece of furniture moved was scuffed, scarred or damaged in some way. The moving boxes were too small to pack most of my things, which seemed to be deceptive of making you buy more boxes. Most boxes only contained one item and a lot of papers, so I eventually bought my own boxes. A couple of the workers expressed that Moves for Less practices were dishonest, caused stress on the job and took advantage of customers. The truck/trailer was also too small, therefore, my unwrapped furniture was crammed into the vehicles. At move in time, David himself did not take any care in moving my items causing irreversible damage to my home and decor. I witnessed him carelessly ram items into the walls of my newly constructed home. He used an unqualified “contractor” to repair wall damage, (the contractor admitted to not knowing how to complete the repairs). David insisted that this contractor who is not an electrician rewire a damaged lamp! Many items had to be thrown out, repaired or replaced. Yet David’s insurance pays pennies for valuable items. Don’t waste your time, money or peace dealing with Moves for Less————————————————————————————IN REGARDS TO YOUR DISHONEST REPLY: I didn’t “wreck” my items, you did…That’s the problem David.read more

We were very unhappy with our experience. The movers made a hole in our wall and damaged my... treadmill when bringing it to our basement. Additionally, the company claimed they would call 2-3 days prior to the move to finalize the list of items to be moved. I never received a call so I reached out by text message. I never got a response. Then, the day of the move they told me that they were unable to make any adjustments to the original inventory list even though I had transported about 50 boxes on my own. They claimed that they tried to reach out to me even though I had no missed calls from them in my phone. It all felt very dishonest and slimy. I would not recommend them to anyone. The actual movers were nice but the company as a whole feels very shady.read more

I was misled by the sales person, Todd, about charging by the box for any boxes they would move. ... So I decided to move most of those myself.A few days after the move I was contacted by another person at Moves for Less asking how they did. I explained about the boxes and he did not agree with Salesperson's pricing method for boxes and asked ME why the sales guy priced it that way. I told him I didn't know - it was HIS sales guy!! But it was too late to negotiate as the move was over.Their moving Team left their runner at my house, so I thought it was disposable. They repeatedly contacted me to bring it back to Indy. I had moved out of Indy and it wasn't my mistake to fix. They even got rude with me on the phone about it.One of them tracked a huge amount of mud on champagne color carpet on stairs which had been professionally cleaned two days prior. They put no plastic adhered covering on the stairs as promised.Then after paying them, the same guy held out the phone asking me to indicate my Google review stars and a few words. Talk about feeling the pressure for a 5-star review! So I initially left a 5 star review and put "Team is great".NOTE: Today, 8/24/25, I received a text from David Franklin, their manager, asking for more words on Google review as they're trying to get 1100 reviews! Now that my move is over and I had time to write about the experience, I took the opportunity to indicate how my move really went. A big THANK YOU to David for the reminder to do so.read more

Todd called me when he saw my for sale sign go up. He was courteous and willing to help, but not... pushy. She set up our move after walking through the house with us for 10 minutes.He quoted us a number - and the final price was within his range.The movers themselves were three young men - Dez, Jerril, and Quentay and they were outstanding. They showed up on time and got right to work. They moved with speed, diligence, and caution. They were so careful as to not damage furniture or walls and doors. I was very pleased with how much care they took with our move. Ours was a relatively small job, and it was done very quickly. I would highly recommend.read more

First time was great second time was horrible not professional I’ll take better chances doing it... myself. Wasted 500 because the movers didn’t do the job right called several times explaining plus sent pictures if you wanna waste your money they’re the people you want. They refuse to call me back after explaining it and known my bed didn’t get put up right. I hate I even used this company lesson learned. It’s not away you do business then leaving your customer hanging after they paid is ridiculous and very inconsiderate. Left me to almost hurt myself presenting the bed like they put it up to half ass job I’ll never use them again. Movers hid the legs to the bed in my closet as well I didn’t think I had to watch over grown people to do their jobs I lost 500 but you guys don’t get any good luck doing someone dirty like that I was nothing but patient and nice. Yall didn’t have to do me that way especially after known my bed is still on the floor after paying 500 and providing yall with everything then to hide my bed pieces is just low down. That’s bad business and never even contacted me back just blocked my number which is ok just never use these people if you do watch them to make sure you don’t end up like me loosing 500 and still the job wasn’t done right plus they refuse to refund partial or all my money they’re very bad with communication manager never called me back. I had to call from another number to get through because of them blocking my number to get through so be mindful and make sure your stuff is put up right. Awful experience!!!!read more

I wish I could leave a “0” rating. David is a combative, contentious and miserable soulless man.... Moves for less uses deceptive and dishonest quoting/pricing tactics. Communication was ambiguous and unprofessional and caused me great distress. There were inadequate packing materials and many of my items were not wrapped correctly. I believe every piece of furniture moved was scuffed, scarred or damaged in some way. The moving boxes were too small to pack most of my things, which seemed to be deceptive of making you buy more boxes. Most boxes only contained one item and a lot of papers, so I eventually bought my own boxes. A couple of the workers expressed that Moves for Less practices were dishonest, caused stress on the job and took advantage of customers. The truck/trailer was also too small, therefore, my unwrapped furniture was crammed into the vehicles. At move in time, David himself did not take any care in moving my items causing irreversible damage to my home and decor. I witnessed him carelessly ram items into the walls of my newly constructed home. He used an unqualified “contractor” to repair wall damage, (the contractor admitted to not knowing how to complete the repairs). David insisted that this contractor who is not an electrician rewire a damaged lamp! Many items had to be thrown out, repaired or replaced. Yet David’s insurance pays pennies for valuable items. Don’t waste your time, money or peace dealing with Moves for Less————————————————————————————IN REGARDS TO YOUR DISHONEST REPLY: I didn’t “wreck” my items, you did…That’s the problem David.read more

We were very unhappy with our experience. The movers made a hole in our wall and damaged my... treadmill when bringing it to our basement. Additionally, the company claimed they would call 2-3 days prior to the move to finalize the list of items to be moved. I never received a call so I reached out by text message. I never got a response. Then, the day of the move they told me that they were unable to make any adjustments to the original inventory list even though I had transported about 50 boxes on my own. They claimed that they tried to reach out to me even though I had no missed calls from them in my phone. It all felt very dishonest and slimy. I would not recommend them to anyone. The actual movers were nice but the company as a whole feels very shady.read more
